NanoSpring filters need to be replaced after 5000 liters of municipal tap water water has passed through the system. This works out to approx once per annum for a family of 5 drinking 2-3 liters of water per day (each person). The Nanospring unit includes a water meter that monitors the water consumption. Our team will proactively alert you annually for a check-up. The cost of the replacement pack includes shipping.
Stage 1 filter utilises a highly electropositive filter media that rapidly adsorbs particles, no matter how small. As a result, each electropositive water filter has a high capacity for particles as large as tens of microns or as small as a few nanometers (submicron and colloidal).
The nature of electropositive attraction is such that even with an average pore size of 2 – 3 microns the Stage 1 Filter Cartridge exhibits an Absolute Rating of 0.2 microns – typically associated with ultraporous membranes. Yet flow rates are hundreds of times greater than such membranes.
Stage 2 Provides the benefits of lead, sediment and carbon block filters into a single cartridge. Lead adsorbent material fused with powdered carbon and synthetic fiber matrix to deliver 2X the dirt, chlorine, taste and odor reduction capacity, while also reducing lead and mercury. Lowest pressure drop over the effective life of the cartridge and no carbon fines release into the effluent stream.
- Nominal 0.5 micron rating
- Premium dirt-holding capacity
- High chlorine, taste and odor reduction
- Lead reduction through 2000 gallons
- 99.95% Cryptosporidium & Giardia cysts removal
Stage 3 is the final polishing filter has been optimized to attract, capture and retain submicron particles including bacteria and virus. It is also softens the water and ensures a silky smooth texture.
